FAQs

What you ask us most before buying a padel racket.

Which padel racket should I choose as a beginner?

Look for a round racket with low balance and a soft core (soft EVA or foam), weighing between 345 and 360 grams. They are easier to control, forgive off-centre hits and protect your elbow while you improve your technique.

What is the difference between a diamond, round and teardrop racket?

The shape changes where the sweet spot is and the balance. The diamond concentrates weight at the top and gives more power; the round lowers it and gives more control; the teardrop sits in between and is the most versatile.

Soft or hard core?

A soft core gives more ball output and absorbs vibrations, ideal for beginner or intermediate level and cold weather. A hard core offers more control and precision on powerful shots, but demands more technique and strength.

What do 3K, 12K or 18K mean on carbon faces?

They indicate how many thousand filaments each carbon fibre weave has. The higher the K, the stiffer and more precise the face usually is; with fewer K it is usually a little more flexible with better ball output.

How much should my padel racket weigh?

Most adult rackets weigh between 345 and 375 grams. Lighter ones are easier to handle and protect your arm; heavier ones give more power and stability. If you have elbow problems, prioritise a light racket.

How often should you change your racket?

It depends on how much you play. With two or three matches a week, the core loses its properties in about a year. If you notice the racket has lost output or response, it is time to change it.

Babolat, a historic tennis brand, has brought all its racket expertise to the world of padel, and its great flagbearer is Juan Lebrón, one of the most explosive and decisive players on the pro tour. With him at the helm, the French brand develops rackets for pure attacking play: power on the smash, fast ball exit and a punch that has taken Lebrón to the top of the world ranking.
In our catalogue you will find the range Lebrón uses on court, diamond-shaped with a high balance, built with cutting-edge materials to maximise energy transfer on every shot. We also stock more accessible versions within the same line, ideal for players who want to progress towards a more attacking style without needing a professional level.
Babolat rackets stand out for their in-house technology, with high-density foam cores and carbon faces that offer a combination of stiffness and comfort rarely found in such powerful rackets. They are demanding rackets, designed for players with developed technique who want to close out points decisively.
If you are unsure which Babolat racket best suits your level or playing style, check our buying guide or contact our team: we will help you find the perfect racket, no strings attached.
