Who is Martita Ortega?

Their story, achievements and progress in professional padel.

Marta Ortega Gallego, known on the tour as Martita Ortega, was born on 14 February 1997 in Madrid and is one of the most complete players in Spanish professional padel. Right-handed and a right-side specialist, she stands out for her reading of the game, her consistency from the back of the court and her ability to build points patiently.

Before making the definitive jump to the professional tour, she played in the junior categories alongside players such as Ariana Sánchez and climbed the World Padel Tour ranking until establishing herself among the best. During her career she has reached world number 4 and won several professional titles.

Off the court, Martita combined competing with her medical studies for years, which earned her the affectionate nickname "La Doctora" (The Doctor). That same discipline and analytical ability show in the way she competes.

She currently partners Sofía Araújo on the Premier Padel tour, coached by Gustavo Pratto and Juan José Mieres, and is one of the faces of adidas Padel.
