Buying guide

How to choose your Adidas racket

Shape: the round shape gives control and is the easiest to handle; the teardrop balances control and power; the diamond, like the Metalbone, aims for maximum punch.

Material: fibreglass is softer and more comfortable; carbon adds stiffness, power and durability.

Weight and level: if you are starting out, choose a light, low-balance racket; if you already master the smash, a high-balance one.

Questions adidas padel questions

01

Which Adidas racket does Ale Galán use?

Ale Galán plays with the Metalbonerange, Adidas's power line: diamond shape, high balance and carbon faces. This season you have the Metalbone 2026 and its stiffer version, the Metalbone HRD+ 2026.

If you want his racket at a better price, the Metalbone HRD 3.2 from previous seasons is on offer. Discover all his gear on the page of Ale Galán.

02

What is the difference between the Metalbone, the HRD and the CTRL?

All three belong to the Metalbone range, but they change the feel and focus: the Metalbone is the balanced power version; the HRD is harder, designed for fast-hitting players looking for maximum punch; and the CTRL prioritises control and comfort.

Compare them: Metalbone 2026, Metalbone HRD+ 2026 y Metalbone CTRL 2026.

03

What is the best Adidas racket for beginners?

If you are starting out, look for a light, low-balance racket with a soft core that forgives off-centre hits and doesn't strain your arm. Entry-level models such as the Adidas Drive 3.3 are a good way in.

You can see all the Adidas rackets under €100 or explore the intermediate-level rackets if you have been playing for a while.

04

Which Adidas racket gives more control?

For control, choose round or teardrop shapes with medium or low balance. Within Adidas, look at the CTRLversions, such as the Metalbone CTRL 2026 or the Adipower Ctrl 3.3, which is also on sale.

You have more options in our selection of control and power rackets.

05

Which Adidas racket should I choose to attack and smash?

If your game is about the net and smashing, look for a diamond shape, high balance and carbon faces. The benchmark is the Metalbone HRD+ 2026, Ale Galán's hard-hitting racket.

Also explore all our power rackets, the diamond-shaped rackets and the carbon rackets.

06

What do the numbers 3.2, 3.3 or 3.4 mean on Adidas rackets?

They indicate the version of each collection: Adidas renews its rackets every season and raises the number (the Metalbone HRD 3.2, for example, is from the 2023 collection). In the latest collections, models are also identified by year, such as the Metalbone 2026.

Tip: previous versions usually have big discounts with very similar performance, such as the Metalbone HRD 3.2 or the Adipower Team Light 3.3.

07

Are there Adidas rackets for women?

Yes. The Lightversions, such as the Metalbone Team Light 3.3 or the Adipower Team Light 3.3, are lighter and easier to handle without losing the range's technology.

If you want a pro's racket, the Arrow Hit 2026 is Ari Sánchez's. See her full gear on the page of Ari Sánchez.

08

How much does an Adidas padel racket cost?

It depends on the range: at Padelmine you will find everything from beginner models at around €50 to professional rackets at around €400. Filter by your budget:

Under €100 · 100 € – 200 € · 200 € – 300 € · Over €300
